All donations will ensure that no child in Ontario is cold this winter.<\/p>\n<h3>About The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastclubs.ca\/\">The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club<\/a> is a\u00a0non-profit charitable organization that began in 1984. They believe every child is entitled to a nutritious breakfast and currently have more than 20 clubs in the Greater Toronto Area. An estimated 4,000 meals are served by the organization every week.<\/p>\n<p>The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club\u2019s other objectives are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>encourage children to develop healthy nutritional, behavioural, and personal hygiene habits<\/li>\n<li>provide children with emotional support and\u00a0social and intellectual stimulation<\/li>\n<li>encourage and develop the skills of staff, volunteers, and other community members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What is the Winter Coat Drive?<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastclubs.ca\/2018\/10\/17\/breakfast-club-2018-coat-drive\/\">The Winter Coat Drive<\/a>\u00a0collects and distributes new and gently-used winter clothing to children and their families in need of proper winter attire. The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club began the Winter Coat Drive in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>2015\u2019s Winter Coat Drive collected more than 30,000 items of winter clothing. That number grew to more than 40,000 pieces collected the following year.\u00a02017\u2019s Winter Coat Drive was another huge success.<\/p>\n<p>All donations end up at The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club\u2019s Coat Warehouse, which operates throughout the winter season.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto Police will hand out vouchers to families they encounter who are most in need of this winter clothing. The vouchers can then be redeemed by the family members for a winter coat or item of clothing they\u2019re most in need of.<\/p>\n<h3>Organized Interiors\u2019 involvement in the Winter Coat Drive<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/donate-a-coat\/\">2018 Winter Coat Drive<\/a> kicked off on October 19th and this will be Organized Interiors\u2019 third year of involvement in this worthy cause.<\/p>\n<p>Our participation in the\u00a02016 Winter Coat Drive\u00a0was inspired by Toronto\u2019s very own\u00a0NBA All-Star, Toronto Raptor Alumni, and Assistant Coach and Community Ambassador Jamaal Magloire.<\/p>\n<p>Jamaal challenged all of Toronto to\u00a0\u201cDonate a Coat\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cWarm a Heart\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>More than four truckloads of coats and winter clothing were collected that year at Vaughan\u2019s first drop-off centre in the Organized Interiors showroom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>With our customers\u2019 incredible generosity, five truckloads of winter clothing were promptly delivered to the Coat Warehouse last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3835\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3835\" class=\"wp-image-3835 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/organized-interiors-showroom-donate-coat.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"457\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/organized-interiors-showroom-donate-coat.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/organized-interiors-showroom-donate-coat-300x214.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 640px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 640\/457;\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-3835\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The drop-off centre at Organized Interiors is the first in Vaughan. Help us fill our bin with warm winter coats.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>How you can help<\/h3>\n<p>You can get involved by making donations for the 2018 Winter Coat Drive at the\u00a0Coat Drive drop-off centre in the Organized Interiors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/showroom\/\">showroom<\/a> at 201 Chrislea Road in Vaughan.<\/p>\n<p>Along with new and gently-used winter coats, we\u2019ll also be gratefully accepting donations of any of the following (in all sizes) until December 31st:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>hoodies<\/li>\n<li>sweaters<\/li>\n<li>hats<\/li>\n<li>mitts and gloves<\/li>\n<li>scarves<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Clothing donations can also be made directly to The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club\u2019s main Winter Coat Drive drop-off centre through February 28th, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s located in the\u00a0Muslim Welfare Centre of Toronto at 100 McLevin Avenue (unit 4) in Scarborough. Call\u00a0(437) 836-6222 to make coat drop-off arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>Monetary donations can also be made at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastclubs.ca\/donate\/\">breakfastclubs.ca<\/a>\u00a0(a tax receipt will be issued for donations of $20 or more).<\/p>\n<h3>Donate a coat and warm a heart<\/h3>\n<p>Warm winter clothing\u00a0is something most of us take for granted. But consider the ways in which inadequate winter clothing can impact a child\u2019s daily life.<\/p>\n<p>Inadequate winter clothing can cause kids to get sick more often, which may affect their school attendance. Unsuitable winter clothing also limits the ability of children to participate in outdoor winter activities.<\/p>\n<p>Your generous donation can help make this winter a little more comfortable for someone in need.
