All donations will ensure that no child in the Greater Toronto Area is cold this winter.<\/p>\n<h3>About The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/breakfastclubs.ca\/\">The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club<\/a> is a\u00a0non-profit charitable organization that began in 1984. They believe every child is entitled to a nutritious breakfast and currently has more than 20 clubs in the Greater Toronto Area. An estimated 4,000 meals are served by the organization every week.<\/p>\n<p>The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club\u2019s other objectives are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>encourage children to develop healthy nutritional, behavioural, and personal hygiene habits<\/li>\n<li>provide children with emotional support and\u00a0social and intellectual stimulation<\/li>\n<li>encourage and develop the skills of staff, volunteers, and other community members<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>What is the Winter Coat Drive?<\/h3>\n<p>The Winter Coat Drive\u00a0collects and distributes new and gently-used winter clothing to children and their families in need of proper winter attire. The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club began the Winter Coat Drive in 2014.<\/p>\n<p>2015\u2019s Winter Coat Drive collected more than 30,000 items of winter clothing. That number grew to more than 40,000 pieces collected the following year.\u00a02017\u2019s Winter Coat Drive was another huge success. Each year we receive more and more coats, thanks to the generosity of our local community.<\/p>\n<p>All donations end up at The Children\u2019s Breakfast Club\u2019s Coat Warehouse, which operates throughout the winter season.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto Police will hand out vouchers to families they encounter who are most in need of this winter clothing. The vouchers can then be redeemed by the family members for a winter coat or item of clothing they\u2019re most in need of.<\/p>\n<h3>Organized Interiors\u2019 involvement in the Winter Coat Drive<\/h3>\n<p>Since 2015, Organized Interiors has been collecting coats for this worthy cause.<\/p>\n<p>Our participation in the Winter Coat Drive\u00a0was inspired by Toronto\u2019s very own alumni, NBA all-star, assistant coach and community ambassador of NBA champions, the Toronto Raptors, Jamaal Magloire, who challenged all of Toronto to\u00a0\u201cdonate a coat and warm a heart\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Five truckloads of winter clothing were delivered from our showroom to the Coat Warehouse last year!<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3835\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3835\" class=\"wp-image-3835 size-full lazyload\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/organized-interiors-showroom-donate-coat.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"457\" data-srcset=\"https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/organized-interiors-showroom-donate-coat.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/organized-interiors-showroom-donate-coat-300x214.jpg 300w\" data-sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 640px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 640\/457;\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-3835\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The drop-off centre at Organized Interiors is the first in Vaughan. Help us fill our bin with warm winter coats.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>How you can help<\/h3>\n<p>You can get involved by making donations for the Winter Coat Drive at the\u00a0Coat Drive drop-off centre in the Organized Interiors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.organizedinteriors.com\/showroom\/\">showroom<\/a> at 201 Chrislea Road in Vaughan.<\/p>\n<p>Along with new and gently-used winter coats, we\u2019ll also be gratefully accepting donations of any of the following (in all sizes) until December 31st:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>hoodies<\/li>\n<li>sweaters<\/li>\n<li>hats<\/li>\n<li>mitts and gloves<\/li>\n<li>scarves<\/li>\n<li><strong>all sizes from children to adult are accepted<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Donate a coat and warm a heart<\/h3>\n<p>Warm winter clothing\u00a0is something most of us take for granted. But consider the ways in which inadequate winter clothing can impact a child\u2019s daily life.<\/p>\n<p>Inadequate winter clothing can cause kids to get sick more often, which may affect their school attendance. Unsuitable winter clothing also limits the ability of children to participate in outdoor winter activities.<\/p>\n<p>Your generous donation can help make this winter a little more comfortable for someone in need.
