The coat drive began in 2014 as a result of the extremely harsh winter. Through The Children’s Breakfast Club, the coat drive continues to be an annual success. Coats are distributed to families in need at the Winter Coat Store in the concourse level of the Peanut Plaza in Don Mills to ensure no child in Ontario is cold during the winter.
The entire Organized Interiors team is onboard to help in this initiative. Our design consultants are in constant contact with community members and our customers and are enthusiastically working to facilitate the success of this drive. We are supplying and distributing collection bags, welcoming donations at the Organized Interiors showroom, advertising and promoting the clothing drive, and delivering much needed items to the main distribution centre as quickly as we receive them so that they reach families without delay.
From October 19, 2018 through to December 31, 2018, Organized Interiors will be welcoming new or gently used coats in our showroom drop-off centre. Other warm clothing items such as hats, scarves, gloves, mittens, hoodies, and sweaters are also appreciated.
